The Energy Policy Act of 2005 authorized the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) to approve and enforce standards to protect and improve the reliability of the nation’s bulk power system. sPower must comply with all applicable requirements of the FERC-approved Reliability Standards. Under this statutory framework, standards are proposed by an Electric Reliability Organization, a role currently filled by the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC).
sPower, as an owner and operator of generation assets on the bulk power system, is committed to developing and maintaining a culture of compliance in which sPower personnel and third-parties feel free to report potential violations of Reliability Standards through appropriate internal channels. Integrity and ethical conduct are keystones to sPower’s compliance values: accountability, excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement. sPower encourages its personnel to use the sPower Reliability and Compliance Hotline to report possible violations.
Report possible violations of Reliability Standards using any of the methods below. Please provide as much detail and context in the report as possible.
